CASSP Heritage Hike to Plaza Los Angeles on October 11, 2026, 9:00 to approximately noon.

Spanish governor Felipe de Neve established the Los Angeles Plaza in 1781. Many historical sites surround the Plaza, including the Old Plaza Firehouse, the Avila Adobe on Olvera Street, Garnier Block, Pio Pico House, and La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles. You can avoid the hassle of driving and parking by taking public transportation to the Los Angeles Union Station, which is across the park from the Plaza. You can enjoy lunch at one of the many nearby restaurants. The hike is free and open to the public; please register at www.cassp.org/events/ so we know how many to expect.
