Southern Data Sharing (meeting is Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025)

Join the Society for California Archaeology as we gather at Los Peñasquitos Ranch House in San Diego for the 2025 Southern Data Sharing Meeting. 

The meeting will be an informal event with a relaxed and supportive atmosphere—perfect for students to practice presenting as well as an opportunity to meet and talk with professionals in California Archaeology in a fun and casual setting.  Students are not required to be current SCA members.     

Data Sharing: The official data sharing meeting begins around 3:00 pm, following the annual Arch in the Park, with presentations in the meeting room at Los Peñasquitos Ranch House and refreshments served at the break.

5:00 pm: Paper presentations  
6:00 pm: Conference concluded 

Post-event on Sunday, October 19:  Site Stewardship Heritage Hike will be led by Beth Padon, California Archaeological Site Stewardship Program (CASSP). We will go to the Old Mission Dam in Mission Trails Regional Park in the City of San Diego. It’s about 20 miles from the site of the October 18 Southern Data Sharing Meeting. We ask attendees to register beforehand at bpadon@sitestewardship.org.
