Statistical Research, Inc. (SRI), a cultural resources consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a Principal Investigator (PI) or Senior Project Director (SPD) based out of our Redlands, CA office. SRI provides comprehensive CRM services to private and government clients at the federal, state, and local levels throughout the western United States from offices in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington.

Minimum qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications for consideration as either a PI or SPD include holding a Master’s or Ph.D. in anthropology or a related field with a clear emphasis in prehistoric archaeology, meet the Secretary of Interior Qualifications for Archaeology, be a Registered Professional Archaeologist, and having at least 12 years of fieldwork and analytical experience with 8 years in a supervisory capacity with a demonstrated ability to build client relationships, garner new projects, and lead them from inception to completion. Successful candidates for each must also show an applied knowledge of federal, state, and local cultural resource laws and regulations and specialized skillsets in prehistoric archaeology (e.g., lithic analysis). Potential candidates with less than 10 years but at least 5 years supervisory experience will be considered for the SPD position. Expertise in the prehistoric archaeology of Southern California and/or the Great Basin is required. The ability to work harmoniously and productively with SRI staff across the company and clients is essential, and the PI/SPD is expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times
