Description:
As a participating interdisciplinary team member, the incumbent performs a variety of professional
scientific office and field work in support of archaeological studies and project effects analysis
pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and other applicable state and
federal regulation. In accordance with detailed instructions and specific archaeological standards, the
incumbent is responsible for gathering data on archaeological resource management issues;
performing preliminary environmental analysis, research, surveys, investigations, and studies;
preparing reports; preparing routine correspondence; answering questions from the public; preparing
regulatory and compliance documents; and do other related work.
